About Delatite Wines

The Ritchie Family are committed to leaving the land in a better state than when they became its custodian. We have applied sustainable, environmentally friendly, and biodynamic processes throughout the entire business to ensure this goal is attained.

In the last 15 years we have made wine as naturally as possible. We use 100% wild yeast, and the wine is made with no filtration or fining agents, minimal sulphur is added and no artificial additives. This allows the wine to express the vineyard’s characteristics. This also allows the wine to be vegan friendly and ensure our environmental commitment through everything we do as a business.

Highlighting our sense of place, in 2021 we opened a new state-of-the-art cellar door and restaurant. This new venue takes full advantage of the breath-taking views over Mt Buller and the alpine range.

Customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do and offer. We aim to foster a relationship with customers, so they have a sense of loyalty and connection with the brand and ultimately cherish their time in our beautiful region.

Through hosting the Harvest Moon Festival, we hope to connect people with the land; visitors with local businesses and head to heart while unearthing the senses through a restorative event like no other.

Event Partners

The Harvest Moon Festival showcases the collaboration and affinity of the region through event partnerships and the shared vision and values.

Harvest Moon Festival highlights the community’s environmentally sustainable values into every aspect of the event, from the event location through to the partnering business’ and their shared values that tie into everything we do.

The Region

The Delatite valley is hugged by rolling hills, mountains and is full of natural beauty.

This beautiful region we call home has historically been a farming and logging community and with Mt Buller on its doorstep, it has slowly become a popular tourism destination.

The Valley is nestled in between Mt Buller on one side and Lake Eildon on the other, making it an adventure hotspot in both summer and winter. Whether you enjoy skiing, mountain biking, water skiing, bushwalking, four-wheel driving or casting a fly into the Delatite river, there is something for everyone.

A food and wine destination with world class dining venues; the Delatite Valley has so much on offer, with great coffee and boutique wine and beer being made in the region. A visit to the Delatite Valley is as exciting as it is memorable.
